The national delegation of Turkmenistan, led by Minister of Construction and Architecture Abdulla Geldiyev, has begun work at the ‘Big 5 Global 2025’ international exhibition in Dubai. The event brought together representatives of government agencies, international companies and experts from the construction industry. On the first day, the delegation held meetings with UAE officials and a number of international construction and engineering companies. They discussed projects in the field of industrial construction, the introduction of new technologies and the possible implementation of infrastructure initiatives in Turkmenistan. The specialists visited the national pavilions of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and China, where they familiarised themselves with materials, equipment, modular systems and technological solutions for urban and industrial projects. Negotiations were also held with EPC contractors, construction equipment manufacturers and digital platform developers. The exhibition participants noted the CIET 2025 conference and exhibition held in ‘Avaza’ in November and expressed interest in cooperation. The companies received invitations to CIET 2026. Turkmenistan's participation in ‘Big 5 Global 2025’ is aimed at expanding external relations and exchanging experience with global construction and technology companies.
The Turkmenistan U-17 national team defeated the Maldives 6-0 in the second round of the 2026 Asian Cup qualifying round. During the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the exchange of bilateral documents was held. The parties signed agreements on cultural and humanitarian cooperation, migration, pension provision, as well as memoranda on legal issues, veterinary medicine, science and regional cooperation. Plans for joint action in transport and healthcare for 2026–2027 have been adopted, according to AsmanNews. An Agreement was concluded between the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and the Television and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the information sphere. In addition, members of the Turkmen delegation held separate meetings with Kazakhstani agencies. As a result, Memoranda were signed between the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports and the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism, between the Turkmen State Institute of Culture and the International University of Tourism and Hospitality, and between the State Museum of Turkmenistan and the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. ‘Türkmentelekom’ and ‘TNS-Plus’ LLP agreed to build a cable border crossing and connect the main telecommunications networks on the border between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.

A bridge across the Garabogazgol Bay has been put into operation, and construction of a road from Turkmenbashi to the state border is continuing. The President of Turkmenistan pointed to the potential for cooperation in the digital economy and innovation, as well as in the agro-industrial complex. Among the topical issues is the rational use of water resources. The cultural and humanitarian sphere remains an important part of the partnership: science, education, healthcare, physical culture and sport. The Turkmenistan national traditional karate team won 18 medals at the Asian Championships in Tashkent. The team won 9 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals, according to IIC. Gold medals were won by Azym Govshudov, Aylar Ilhanova, Amangozel Bekmyradova, Damir Allaberdiyev, Sylap Toylymyradov, Aysha Ilgeldiyeva, Meylis Charyev, Aylale Artykova and Oguljennet Mammetgylyjova. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov concluded his state visit to Kazakhstan with a visit to the ‘Älem.AI’ International Artificial Intelligence Centre in Astana.
