Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, held a meeting on June 3 with Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council, who arrived in Ashgabat at the head of a delegation representing American companies. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed the activities of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council and its role in promoting business ties between public and private sector entities of the two countries. During the meeting, participants highlighted the successful roundtable held the same day in Ashgabat with representatives of around ten American companies, including Climate Compass, John Deere, and Westport Trading. The Turkmen delegation at the event was led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan N. Atagulyyev.
The participants emphasized the importance of the Council in strengthening Turkmen-American cooperation and reaffirmed their interest in further developing partnerships in the transport and logistics, energy, oil and gas, and agricultural sectors.
On the same day, representatives of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council held a series of bilateral meetings at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
