Consultations between the consular services of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan were held in Ashgabat

On June 4, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted another round of consular consultations between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen delegation was led by the Head of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, while the Kazakh delegation was headed by the Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the sides reviewed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere. Particular attention was paid to the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of both countries, the development of consular cooperation, and certain aspects of international legal collaboration. The participants also discussed the improvement of the legal treaty framework and the expansion of practical cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two states.
Following the consultations, a corresponding protocol was signed. The parties confirmed their interest in further developing Turkmen-Kazakh cooperation along consular lines.
