The Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations, Vepa Hajiyev, presented his credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres. This was reported by the IIC of Turkmenistan.

During a brief meeting following the ceremony, V. Hajiyev conveyed greetings from the leadership of Turkmenistan. The parties discussed cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations, including issues related to strengthening international and regional security, as well as the development of preventive diplomacy and mediation.

Attention was also given to the Sustainable Development Goals, including cooperation in the fields of transport, energy, and environmental protection.
