In connection with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, signed a decree awarding foreign nationals the commemorative medal «Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna», AsmanNews reports.

It is noted that neutrality promotes the expansion of partnerships in the fields of economy, science, education, healthcare, and culture, as well as attracting foreign investment. International cooperation is seen as a factor in strengthening Turkmenistan’s position on the global stage and developing the national economy.

The awards were presented to representatives of the United Nations system, international organizations, parliamentary circles, the business community, and medical institutions from several countries.

Among the recipients are representatives of the UN in Turkmenistan, the leadership of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, representatives from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Turkey, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as foreign specialists working in the healthcare sector.
