A series of workshops on content creation and the use of digital tools, including artificial intelligence, was held in Ashgabat from April 29 to May 6. The venue was the training center of the Bouygues Turkmen company. This was reported by the publication “Turkmenistan: The Golden Age”.
The events were organized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the European Union, and the CARAVAN media project. Participants included journalists, lecturers, and students from relevant higher education institutions. At the opening ceremony, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan Maciej Madalinski emphasized the role of media literacy and the development of a balanced media environment in the EU’s regional strategy.
During the sessions, changes in the media landscape driven by artificial intelligence were discussed. The impact of social media algorithms on information distribution and issues of authorship responsibility were also addressed.
The trainings were conducted by experts from Kazakhstan, Gulim Amirkhanova and Aiganym Amirbekova. The program marked the second phase of the CARAVAN media project in Ashgabat. Previously, in autumn 2025, a similar workshop on AI and media literacy was held in the capital.
