Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan Strengthen Interparliamentary Dialogue

On June 1, Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic, Nury Golliyev, met with the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Marat Mamataliyev. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-Kyrgyz relations. It was noted that cooperation between the two countries is developing across a wide range of areas, including interparliamentary ties, trade and economic cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian interaction. Particular attention was given to strengthening interparliamentary dialogue. The importance of intensifying the activities of parliamentary friendship groups to expand contacts between the legislative bodies of the two countries was emphasized.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan reaffirmed his country’s readiness to develop mutually beneficial partnership with the Kyrgyz Republic in key areas. The sides also discussed the organization of mutual visits, maintaining contacts, and participation in international and interparliamentary events.
