Vepa Hajiyev, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations, met with Pär Liljert, Director of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) Office to the UN in New York. This was reported by the IIC.

The parties discussed current cooperation and identified priorities for further collaboration. They also exchanged views on regional developments and trends, humanitarian issues and the management of migration processes.

During the meeting, Turkmenistan reaffirmed its interest in continuing to cooperate with UN agencies on migration-related matters.
