Turkmenistan and the WHO discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of healthcare

On 10 October, Myahri Byashimova, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan, met with Corinne Capuano, Acting Head of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) European Regional Office. This was reported by the press office of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed current cooperation and prospects for its development in the field of public health. Particular attention was paid to joint initiatives, regional cooperation and public health priorities.

Myahri Byashimova thanked Corinne Capuano for taking part in the Second International Conference on ‘Universal Health Coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals’, which took place at the Congress Centre of the ‘Awaza’ National Tourist Zone.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the partnership between Turkmenistan and the WHO.
