Ashgabat is preparing for the 30th International Conference and Exhibition ‘Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2025’ (OGT 2025), held under the motto ‘Energy. Innovation. Development.’ This was reported by the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

The forum, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of energy cooperation, has received wide international coverage due to partnerships with leading media outlets.

Media support allows OGT 2025 to reach a global audience, highlighting Turkmenistan's openness to investment and its contribution to sustainable development.

More than 1,400 delegates from 70 countries have confirmed their participation in the event, including representatives of the UN, UNECE, GIZ, IGU and the Global Gas Centre. Industry leaders will speak at the plenary session entitled ‘Shaping the Future of Global Energy in the International Year of Peace and Trust,’ including the CEO of DEWA and Chairman of ENOC Group Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamahmudov, President of the International Gas Union (IGU) Andrea Steger, Vice Chairman of S&P Global and Chairman of CERAWeek Daniel Yergin, as well as executives from SOCAR, BOTAŞ, ADNOC XRG and PETRONAS.

Special attention will be paid to clean energy and methane emissions reduction. Thematic sessions with experts from the UN and European institutions will be held as part of the forum, as well as a discussion on ‘Energy for Peace and Prosperity’ dedicated to Turkmenistan's contribution to achieving SDG 7.

The OGT 2025 business programme includes B2B meetings, an AI platform for finding partners, and an international exhibition of more than 100 companies presenting innovations in energy production, processing, and digitalisation.

Over three decades, OGT has evolved from a regional event into a global investment platform that brings together East and West, tradition and technology, confirming Turkmenistan's growing role in the global energy sector.
