The WHO Regional Office for Europe held the Day of Turkmenistan, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the country's neutrality. The Director of the Bureau, Dr. Hans Kluge, noted the success of Turkmen medicine in disease prevention, vaccination and improving the medical literacy of the population. This was reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden age".

During the meetings, preparations for the international conference on healthcare, which will be held in Ashgabat in October 2025 with the participation of representatives of the WHO and the ministries of health of European countries, were discussed. The photo exhibition held within the framework of the event clearly demonstrated the development of the healthcare system of Turkmenistan over the past three decades.

The Day of Turkmenistan confirmed the international recognition of the country's achievements in the medical field and strengthened its position as an active participant in WHO global initiatives.
