The WHO, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, and government partners held a meeting in Ashgabat on emergency preparedness in healthcare. This was reported by the online publication Arzuw.news.

The main topic of discussion was the draft National Action Plan for pandemic prevention, preparedness and response.

Participants considered measures to strengthen cross-sectoral cooperation and align national actions with global health security priorities.

The meeting also identified further steps for the preparation and approval of the plan. The event was supported by the WHO pandemic preparedness project.
