The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad held a friendly golf tournament and a reception in honour of the 34th anniversary of independence and the 30th anniversary of neutrality of the country, in conjunction with the management of the Pines Golf Club. Ambassadors, diplomats and experienced Pakistani players took part in the competition. The tournament was held in a spirit of friendship, rivalry and mutual respect. The winners received commemorative prizes and gifts from the embassy.

After the tournament, a reception was held, with the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Hamid Asghar Khan, as the guest of honour. The guests noted the high level of organisation and warm atmosphere of the event, emphasising its contribution to strengthening cultural, humanitarian and diplomatic ties between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle.
