On 5 November, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan held a meeting to summarise the results of its work for January–October and discuss further improvements to legislation. This was reported by the online news resource TerraNews.
During this period, the parliament adopted 17 laws and 18 resolutions, including the Constitutional Law on Neutrality Policy, the updated Civil Code, and the Law on the Court. Amendments were also made to a number of existing regulations.
Particular attention was paid to the activities of working groups on the protection of citizens' rights and the preparation of new draft laws, as well as to past international events and the visit of a parliamentary delegation to Russia, which resulted in a cooperation agreement. The meeting outlined tasks for legal education and strengthening state policy.
