An international conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality was held in Bucharest. The event, organised by the country's embassy in Romania, took place at the Politehnica National University of Science and Technology. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The conference was attended by diplomats, representatives of Romanian state bodies, scientists and students. In his speech, the rector of the university, Professor Mihnea Costoiu, noted the importance of Turkmenistan's peaceful policy. Ambassador A. Annayev emphasised that neutrality, approved three times by the UN, forms the basis of the country's foreign policy.

During the conference, participants discussed the contemporary significance of neutrality and its contribution to ensuring peace and sustainable development. Special attention was paid to the prospects for Turkmen-Romanian relations, including cooperation in the implementation of the Caspian Sea-Black Sea transport corridor, as well as in the energy, digital and environmental spheres.

The event concluded with a cultural programme, during which guests were able to sample Turkmen national dishes and learn about the country's traditions.
