On 25 November, Begench Durdyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea, took part in the opening of the exhibition ‘Nomadic Peoples along the Silk Road’ in Gwangju, according to the online news resource TerraNews.
B. Durdyev presented the history and cultural heritage of Turkmenistan, noting the country's importance on the Great Silk Road. The Diplomat also spoke about Turkmenistan's contribution to world culture, which is reflected in the books by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, ‘Anau – culture from the depths of millennia’ and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's ‘Turkmenistan – the heart of the Great Silk Road’, presented at the exhibition.
In conclusion, the Ambassador invited the South Korean side to the International Forum in Ashgabat on 12 December, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
