Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan noted the high level of strategic partnership

A meeting was held in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who arrived to participate in the trilateral summit ‘Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan.’ This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The distinguished guest was welcomed at the Turkmenbashi International Airport in accordance with national traditions, after which the motorcade proceeded to the Congress Centre of the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone.

During the negotiation, the parties emphasised the high level of strategic partnership and discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, energy, transport, logistics, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Particular attention was paid to the growth of trade, the development of industrial and business cooperation, as well as interaction in international organisations, including support for each other's initiatives at UN platforms.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the importance of cultural exchanges, joint events, conferences and exhibitions, which contribute to bringing the two peoples closer together and strengthening humanitarian ties. The Hero Arkadag also emphasised the significance of Turkmenistan's policy of neutrality for the stability and sustainable development of the region and expressed satisfaction with Uzbekistan's support for these initiatives.

The President of Uzbekistan highly appreciated the organisation and level of international events held in Turkmenistan, including the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, noting their global significance. Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that the results of the current summit will contribute to deepening cooperation between the three countries and bring significant benefits to the entire region.

At the end of the meeting, the leaders exchanged warm greetings, noted the effectiveness and stability of bilateral relations, and expressed their readiness to develop partnership at all levels.
