From 25 August to 5 September, New York hosted the second regular sessions of the executive boards of leading UN agencies, which resulted in the approval of new country programmes for Turkmenistan for the period 2026-2030. The documents, developed jointly with the Turkmen side, define the main areas of cooperation for the next five years. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The country programmes provide for the implementation of comprehensive projects and activities in partnership with the permanent missions of UNDP, UNICEF and UNFPA in Turkmenistan.
The approval of the new programmes marks the beginning of a new stage of fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and the specialised agencies of the UN, aimed at achieving sustainable development goals and addressing key socio-economic challenges.
