A meeting took place at the International University for the Humanities and Development between Martin Brook, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Turkmenistan, and the university’s rector and senior management. This was reported by the press office of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed the development of scientific and educational cooperation, the expansion of academic exchanges, and the implementation of joint projects between universities in Turkmenistan and Italy.

Particular attention was paid to the exchange of experience with Italian higher education institutions in the fields of the humanities, international relations, diplomacy and the global economy.

The participants also discussed ways of promoting Italian culture, history and language, as well as improving study programmes. The negotiations marked a further step towards strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and the Italian Republic.
