On June 10, 2026, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia, D. Seyitmammedov, and the Public Defender of Georgia, L. Ioseliani. This was reported by the news agency “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
The sides noted the progressive development of Turkmen–Georgian relations, based on the principles of friendship and mutual respect.
Particular attention was paid to issues of human rights protection, the improvement of national human rights mechanisms, and increasing the effectiveness of their implementation. The importance of exchanging experience and best practices between relevant institutions was emphasized.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue regular constructive dialogue and to deepen cooperation based on mutual trust and respect.
