Turkmenistan and ADB sign agreement on construction of medical college

Turkmenistan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed an Agreement on financing the construction of a secondary medical educational institution in Ashgabat. The signing of the document was held during ADB President Masato Kanda's visit to Turkmenistan, TerraNews reports.

Under the Agreement, the Bank will provide financing for the construction of a modern medical college, which will train qualified mid-level specialists for the country's healthcare system.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the ADB signed a Cooperation Agreement on Technical Support aimed at strengthening the capacity of the national healthcare system and improving its efficiency.

The Asian Development Bank has been cooperating with Turkmenistan for more than 25 years, implementing joint projects in the fields of energy, infrastructure, transport and other key sectors of the economy.
