Athletes from Turkmenistan will compete in the World Para Powerlifting Championships, which will be held in Cairo from 11 to 18 October. This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal.

Eight athletes will represent the country at the tournament, competing for medals in different weight categories.

A total of 542 athletes from 71 countries and 25 neutral athletes, including 314 men and 228 women, are expected to participate in the competition. The tournament will be held in modern arenas in compliance with all international standards.

For the Turkmen national team, this start will be an important stage in preparation for the Paralympic Games and other major tournaments.
