Turkmen Ambassador Meets Princess Takamado in Japan

On May 20, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan, A. Bayramov, held a meeting with Princess Takamado, a member of the Japanese Imperial Family. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The sides discussed the current state of Turkmen–Japanese relations and exchanged views on the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The high level of interaction between the two countries was noted. The Turkmen side expressed gratitude for Princess Takamado’s contribution to the development of intercultural dialogue and the strengthening of friendly ties.
It was emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches priority importance to expanding cooperation with Japan based on mutual respect and partnership. Special attention was given to the meetings between the President of Turkmenistan and Emperor Naruhito of Japan, which took place in 2025 and provided additional momentum to bilateral relations.
During the conversation, issues of humanitarian cooperation were also addressed. The ambassador briefed Princess Takamado on the activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. The sides discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of education, sports, environment, and green energy.
At the conclusion of the meeting, readiness for the further development of bilateral cooperation was reaffirmed.
