A delegation of the Turkish Council of Higher Education, headed by Chairman Prof Erol Ozvar, has arrived in Ashgabat. The visit will last until 24 May and is aimed at developing partnership in higher education between the two countries. This is reported by the IIC.
The programme of the visit includes important meetings with the leadership of Turkmenistan. The delegation will hold talks with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Orazdurdyyeva and Education Minister D.Gurbangeldiyev to discuss the prospects of educational cooperation.
Special attention will be paid to co-operation with the leading universities of the country. The Turkish representatives will visit the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, the International University for Humanities and Development, as well as the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi.
The cultural part of the programme includes acquaintance with the national heritage of Turkmenistan through visits to the State Museum, the Turkmen Carpet Museum and the Nisa Historical and Cultural Reserve. These activities will allow Turkish guests to better understand the rich cultural heritage of the country.
