The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has announced that by the end of 2026, the volume of capital investment channelled into the country’s economy will exceed 41.2 billion manats. The Head of State made this statement on 23 September at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty in Ashgabat, according to the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

According to Serdar Berdimuhamedov, investment funds are being channelled towards the construction and modernisation of industrial and social infrastructure.

This year, 68.5 per cent of the state budget is earmarked for industrial facilities, and 31.5 per cent for the social sector, including education, healthcare and culture.

The President of Turkmenistan has instructed the relevant ministries to draw up a Programme for the socio-economic development and investment of Turkmenistan for 2027.
