On 20 November, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Germany (Frankfurt am Main) held a formal reception to mark the 30th anniversary of the country's neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, and International Neutrality Day. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission.

The event was attended by representatives of the State Chancellery of the Federal State of Hesse, diplomats, employees of financial and banking institutions, cultural and scientific figures, the Turkmen diaspora and students.

In his address, the Consul of Turkmenistan in Germany, Myrat Ozbekbayev, emphasised that neutral status has remained the basis of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy for three decades, contributing to regional stability, the development of international cooperation and economic growth.

The Diplomat noted the peace initiatives put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Particular attention was paid to the International Forum, which will be held on 12 December in Ashgabat and will be dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.

The guests were shown videos about Turkmenistan's achievements and the country's peacekeeping policy. The participants discussed the role of the country's neutrality in the international arena and tasted traditional Turkmen dishes.
