The Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the Ambassador of India

On 26 November, the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan, Bandaru Wilsonbabu. This was reported by the press service of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the further development of bilateral relations, congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and noted the importance of cooperation in the political, economic, educational and scientific spheres.

The parties emphasised the priorities of Turkmenistan's peaceful and humane policy, achievements in national education and training of young specialists, interest in learning Hindi and opportunities for exchange of experience in legislative and parliamentary activities.

During the meeting, the participation of Turkmen parliamentarians in a training seminar in New Delhi under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme was noted, which contributes to the strengthening of inter-parliamentary ties and the expansion of cooperation between the countries.
