On 12 June 2025, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of the Philippines (resident in Tokyo) A. Bayramov took part in official celebrations marking the country's Independence Day, held at the Malacañang Presidential Palace. This was reported by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

On behalf of the leadership of Turkmenistan, the diplomat conveyed congratulations to the Philippine side, wishing prosperity and success. During the visit, working meetings were held at the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Ministry of Tourism of the Philippines. The Turkmen side invited Philippine partners to participate in upcoming international forums in Ashgabat and Avaza dedicated to issues of peace, trust and development of landlocked countries.

Special attention was paid to the prospects for cooperation with the Asian Development Bank. During the meeting with ADB President Masato Kanda, plans for joint events to mark the 25th anniversary of the partnership were discussed.

The sides confirmed their intention to intensify cooperation in the political, economic and cultural spheres.
