During his working visit to Balkan velayat, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Eisaku Ito, Chief Executive Officer of ‘Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.’, according to the news website Asmannews.

The parties discussed current cooperation and prospects for partnership between Turkmenistan and Japan in the industrial, energy and chemical sectors, noting the conditions for the implementation of new projects. The President of Turkmenistan emphasised the importance of the industrial complex under construction in Turkmenbashi for the country's economy.

Eisaku Ito expressed his gratitude for the meeting and confirmed the company's readiness to fulfil its obligations on time. At the end of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished him success and noted the importance of complying with environmental standards and applying modern technologies in the construction of facilities.
