President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated his compatriots on Eid al-Adha, noting its significance as a celebration that enriches universal values and strengthens relations based on humanistic ideals. This is reported by the state news agency TDH.

The Head of State stressed that festivities reflecting pride in the past and present of the country are held all over the country on holidays.

The President of Turkmenistan reminded that the state creates conditions for observance of religious rites, including pilgrimages to shrines. As Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, thousands of Turkmen pilgrims have travelled to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.

The Head of State also said that the traditions of humanity, hard work and spiritual purity continue to strengthen in the society thanks to the course of reforms and initiatives aimed at developing the state and improving the lives of the population.

In conclusion, the President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence in further strengthening of the country's international authority and wished his compatriots health, prosperity and success.
