President of Turkmenistan Concludes Visit to Azerbaijan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov concluded his state visit to Azerbaijan on June 23 with visits to the cities of Fuzuli and Shusha. This was reported by the TDH news agency.
At Fuzuli International Airport, the President of Turkmenistan was welcomed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. The two heads of state reviewed construction projects in Fuzuli, including a mosque being built at the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, with funding from the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.
The presidents then traveled to Shusha, where they inspected a new residential complex and a mosque under construction. President Berdimuhamedov was also presented with an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Heydar Aliyev, after which the two leaders visited several cultural and historical sites in the city, including the Shusha Fortress and the Bulbul House Museum.
During a visit to the Jidir Duzu plain, the President of Azerbaijan presented Serdar Berdimuhamedov with a Karabakh horse named Mert as a gift. The Turkmen leader thanked him for the gift, noting that he viewed it as a symbol of friendship between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the visit, the presidents arrived at Fuzuli Airport, where they exchanged farewell wishes. Serdar Berdimuhamedov then departed for Turkmenistan. Some time later, the presidential aircraft landed at Ashgabat International Airport.
