The ‘Watan’ Cinema and Concert Centre in the capital will be held a performance that immersed the audience in the colourful world of Indian culture. Even before the start of the concert, guests could get into the atmosphere of Bollywood thanks to the exhibition of cult film posters in the foyer, and many spectators came in traditional Indian clothes to maintain the festive mood. This was reported by the Internet publication ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

India's Ambassador to Turkmenistan Mrs Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat in her welcoming remarks emphasised that the concert was a wonderful symbol of strong friendly relations between the two countries. Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova was present at the event, which emphasised the importance of cultural exchange within the framework of the proclaimed International Year of Peace and Trust.

The performance of the Indian dance group led by Sukhwinder Singh was a huge success with the audience. The programme opened with the traditional dance ‘Ganesh Vandana’, and the audience was especially delighted by the popular Bollywood hits performed by Mr. Vinit. Bright costumes, fiery rhythms and virtuoso dance numbers created a unique atmosphere of a real Indian holiday.
