On October 12, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported by the TDH news agency.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation between the two countries. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his personal contribution to strengthening Turkmen-Uzbek relations.

Cooperation between the two states is developing in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, humanitarian and other spheres. The basis of their interaction is dialogue at the highest state level.

Agreements reached at meetings between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as during contacts between delegations of the two countries, contribute to the expansion of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
