Representatives of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan took part in an international forum on public administration development held in Samarkand under the auspices of the United Nations. This was reported by the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

The forum became an important platform for discussing strategic cooperation, exchanging innovative solutions and improving the efficiency of public services. The event was organised for the first time in Uzbekistan and was in line with the Sustainable Development Goals pursued by Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen delegation's speech emphasised the country's desire to modernise its civil service training system using digital technologies. During the event, Turkmenistan shared its experience of transitioning to a digital economy, in particular the creation of an interdepartmental commission and the introduction of electronic document management.

The forum's conclusions confirmed Turkmenistan's progress in the digitalisation of public administration, achieved through the implementation of national programmes in the field of the digital economy for 2019–2025.
