Forum “White City Ashgabat” brings together more than 130 exhibitors

On May 24, the 25th International Universal Exhibition and Conference “White City Ashgabat” opened in Ashgabat, organized by the city administration and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. This was reported by TDH.
The events bring together representatives of government bodies, businesses, and international organizations from 55 countries. More than 130 exhibitors are presented at the Expo Center, including ministries, agencies, as well as Turkmen and foreign companies. The opening ceremony was attended by members of the government, heads of the Mejlis, ministries and agencies, heads of diplomatic missions, as well as representatives of business and public organizations.
Participants heard a welcoming address from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The head of state noted the development of Ashgabat as a modern city with upgraded infrastructure and new architectural projects.
The exhibition features projects in the fields of construction, energy, industry, digital technologies, transport, and urban infrastructure. Companies presented proposals for international cooperation and investment projects. Special attention is given to the introduction of “smart” technologies, digital solutions, and environmental standards. Stands showcase residential complexes, social facilities, communication systems, and telecommunications projects.
Turkmen and foreign construction companies, manufacturers of building materials, food and light industry enterprises, educational centers, and retail chains presented their products and services.
As part of the forum, a UN round table was held on sustainable and “smart” cities. Participants discussed urbanization, environmental sustainability, and the introduction of modern technologies in urban development.
In the second half of the day, a plenary session of the conference titled “Formation of a sustainable, smart, and globally integrated capital” was held at the “Olimpiýa” hotel. It reviewed prospects for Ashgabat’s development, attracting investment, and expanding international cooperation. Bilateral meetings between representatives of ministries and foreign companies also took place during the forum.
Within the framework of the exhibition, a number of documents were signed, including memorandums between Turkmen ministries and companies from Japan, Singapore, China, Germany, and Turkey. The agreements cover cooperation in energy, chemical industry, road construction, digital technologies, and technical maintenance of industrial facilities. The 25th International Universal Exhibition and Conference “White City Ashgabat” will continue until May 25.
