In the Dashoguz velayat of Turkmenistan, preparatory work has begun on the construction of a modern 220/110/35/10 kV substation, which will significantly improve the region's power supply. This was reported by the online publication ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.
At the request of the ‘Dashoguzenergo’ production association, site preparation has begun in the Kunya-Urgench etrap for the construction of a new electrical substation. This strategically important facility will receive and transform electricity from the Dashoguz State Power Plant, ensuring a reliable supply to industrial enterprises, utilities and economic facilities in the district.
The new substation will replace the ‘Nowça’ substation, ensuring uninterrupted power supply and stable voltage in local networks. The designers have provided for the possibility of further expansion of the facility, taking into account the promising development of the infrastructure of the entire region.
The construction is being carried out as part of a comprehensive programme to modernise Turkmenistan's energy system. Due to the implementation of large-scale state projects, the energy infrastructure of the velayat has already been integrated into a single national energy ring. Currently, the region is undergoing a systematic upgrade of energy facilities aimed at improving the efficiency of networks and ensuring uninterrupted power supply to consumers.
