The international universal exhibition and conference “White City Ashgabat 2026” has concluded in Ashgabat. The main topics of discussion included urban planning, industrial development, and the introduction of digital technologies into the urban environment. This was reported by the IIC.
A separate section was dedicated to the concept of “smart cities.” Participants discussed engineering solutions and the implementation of large-scale construction projects. Representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and experts in architecture and design took part in the discussions. The focus was placed on developing the technological potential of the construction sector and expanding international cooperation.
The second part of the forum was devoted to industry and the diversification of material supplies. Issues related to the chemical industry and the formation of sustainable logistics chains were considered. Representatives of international companies expressed interest in implementing projects in the country.
Energy security and environmental sustainability were also discussed. Particular attention was paid to the transition to renewable energy sources and the development of digital systems for urban management. Experts from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) participated in the session.
The forum concluded with an award ceremony. A message from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, was read to participants, highlighting the significance of the platform for the exchange of experience and best practices in urban development.
