On 31 August, the well-known Chinese newspaper ‘People's Daily’ (‘Renmin Ribao’) published an article by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, entitled ‘Turkmenistan–China: towards strengthening friendship and cooperation’. In the article, the Head of State expressed his gratitude to the publication for the opportunity to address the Chinese audience, detailing the stages of development and the current state of bilateral relations between the PRC and Turkmenistan, noting their strategic depth and multifaceted nature. The article places particular emphasis on cooperation within the framework of China's ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ and Turkmenistan's ‘Revival of the Great Silk Road’ Strategy.
