U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Sarah Rogers arrived in Turkmenistan on an official visit. The first item on the program was an introduction to Akhal-Teke horses, one of the country’s key national symbols. This was reported by the online publication “Business Turkmenistan”.
Organizers emphasized that the choice is linked to the announcement of the 2026 motto, “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” which highlights the cultural and historical significance of the breed.
The American delegation also learned about the traditions of Akhal-Teke horse breeding, which are considered an important part of the national heritage and a source of pride for the country. As part of the visit, talks are scheduled aimed at developing bilateral cooperation between the United States and Turkmenistan.
