Tomohiro Takashina, Director of ‘Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.’s Representative Office in Turkmenistan, announced at the CIET 2025 conference that the company is ready to begin the second phase of construction of a plant to produce environmentally friendly gasoline from natural gas. According to Tomohiro Takashina, the existing GTG-1 plant in the Ahal velayat has become an example of successful cooperation and produces Euro 5 standard fuel, which is in demand in the markets of neighbouring countries and Europe. The company representative added that, building on the success of the GTG-1 project, ‘Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.’, together with ‘Rönesans’ and ‘ITOCHU’, intends to implement the construction of a new GTG-2 complex, which will contribute to strengthening economic ties between Turkmenistan and Japan.
The Second UN World Summit for Social Development is being held in Doha (Qatar) from 4 to 6 November 2025. A Turkmen delegation headed by Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Muhammetseyit Sylapov is participating in the event, according to the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan. The summit agenda includes discussions on combating poverty, ensuring equality and social justice, protecting human rights, gender equality, decent work and social protection. At the CIET 2025 conference, Deputy Minister of Energy Serdar Saparov announced the start of construction of a new combined cycle power plant on the Caspian coast, according to the online news resource TerraNews. The plant will have a capacity of 1,574 MW. The project aims to modernise the energy system, improve energy security and expand electricity exports to the Caucasus countries and Turkey. On 3 November, the opening of Turkmen Literature and Creativity Week was held at the Turkish Literature Foundation in Istanbul. The International Conference and Exhibition ‘Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan’ (CIET 2025) has kicked off in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone. On the first day, B2G meetings were held between representatives of leading foreign companies and state structures of Turkmenistan, according to the news website Turkmenportal. The participants discussed the prospects for joint projects in the fields of energy, industrial construction, transport and chemical production, as well as issues of financing and innovation. The plenary session discussed sustainable investment and international cooperation in key sectors of the economy.
