Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met on June 10 with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Turkmenistan (resident in Helsinki), Maria Agre, who presented copies of her credentials. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen side congratulated the diplomat on her appointment and wished her success in her activities. During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Mutual interest in expanding cooperation was noted both at the bilateral level and within international organizations, including the EU.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of intensifying contacts between foreign policy agencies and developing interparliamentary relations.
Maria Agre expressed readiness to contribute to the further strengthening of Turkmen–Finnish relations.
