Vladimir Petruk, Managing Director of Interbudmontazh, spoke at the XXIV International Exhibition and Conference ‘White City Ashgabat’. He thanked the leadership of Turkmenistan for the opportunity to participate in the authoritative international platform, which promotes the development of partnerships and exchange of professional experience, IIC reports.

The initiative to build an underground in Ashgabat was highlighted among the promising areas. Petruk recalled that on the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan in 2014 the development of a feasibility study of the project with the involvement of Japanese, Austrian and American specialists was launched. The planned metro is seen as an element of a sustainable transport system capable of connecting Ashgabat with the new city of Arkadag in the future.

In addition, the company is taking part in the construction of a regulating hydraulic structure on the Karakum Canal in partnership with the Australian firm Rubicon. The aim of the project is to ensure sustainable water supply to the capital and support the development of agriculture in the country.

In conclusion, Vladimir Petruk expressed interest in further participation of Interbudmontazh in key infrastructure initiatives of Turkmenistan. He stressed the importance of a systematic project approach taking into account the seismic conditions of the region, and also noted that such forums as ‘White City Ashgabat’ serve as a catalyst for major projects and expand the horizons of international cooperation.
