Valentina Matvienko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, sent a letter to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. She thanked him for the message conveyed by Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice-President of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation, AsmanNews reported.

Valentina Matviyenko emphasised the importance of interparliamentary cooperation, which has become an important part of bilateral political dialogue. According to her, the visit of the delegation of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to Russia in November 2025 strengthened this cooperation.

The Chairwoman of the Federation Council also noted Turkmenistan's successes in the international arena and emphasised the role of the policy of permanent neutrality in strengthening regional and global stability.

The letter contains wishes for success in preparing for the International Forum, which will be held in Ashgabat on 12 December 2025. Valentina Matvienko expressed her confidence that the event would promote the ideas of Peace and Trust.

In conclusion, she noted the importance of friendly relations between the parties and wished the Hero Arkadag health and success.
