The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) office in Turkmenistan has announced a national illustration competition on the themes of the environment and sustainable development. The competition is open to Turkmenistan nationals aged between 12 and 17 and between 18 and 35, according to IIC of Turkmenistan.

Entries will be accepted until 28 August 2026 in high-resolution digital format or using traditional art techniques. The use of artificial intelligence in creating illustrations is not permitted.

The competition focuses on the themes of natural resource conservation, innovation, social inclusion and climate policy. The jury will assess the works’ relevance to the themes, originality and quality of execution.

The best participants will receive commemorative prizes and certificates. Their works will be included in Turkmenistan’s Youth Statement for presentation at the UN Climate Change Conference COP31.
