Turkmen-American Forum Brings Together Business Representatives

A Turkmen-American business forum was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan with the participation of representatives of government bodies and business communities of both countries, according to the IIC.
The Turkmen delegation was led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev, while the American side was represented by Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council. The forum was attended by representatives of companies such as Climate Compass, CNH Industrial, Coca-Cola, John Deere, Palo Alto Networks, Sig Sauer, Valley Irrigation, and Westport Trading Europe Limited.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of Turkmen-American trade and economic cooperation. It was noted that American companies have been operating in various sectors of Turkmenistan’s economy for many years and are interested in further expanding their partnership. Priority areas of cooperation include energy, transport and communications, agriculture and agro-industry, high technologies, the oil and gas sector, power engineering, trade, banking, and environmental protection.
As part of the forum, bilateral meetings were also held between representatives of Turkmen ministries, agencies, and the private sector with American businesspeople, where joint projects and prospects for cooperation were discussed.
