The 30th International Conference and Exhibition ‘Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2025’ (OGT 2025) will be held in Ashgabat from 22 to 24 October. More than 300 delegates from 40 countries are expected to attend, and all exhibition space has been booked in advance, according to the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

The forum will be held under the motto ‘Energy. Innovation. Development’ and will bring together leading energy experts. Speakers will include IGU President Andrea Stegher, Global Gas Centre Executive Director Valérie Ducrot, Pulitzer Prize winner Daniel Yergin and others.

The programme will cover topics such as energy transition, decarbonisation and the application of AI in hydrocarbon production. Special emphasis will be placed on major projects in Turkmenistan, including the ‘Galkynysh’ field, the TAPI gas pipeline and the development of the Caspian shelf.

Separate sessions will be devoted to renewable energy, including the hybrid power plant project at Lake Altyn Asyr. S&P Global Platts, SPE and Gaffney Cline will hold expert discussions on digital transformation and gas storage.

The programme also includes a round table discussion entitled ‘Youth Perspective: Talent, Skills and AI — Building a Future-Ready Workforce’ with the participation of HR directors from Dragon Oil, Eni and Petronas. The conference aims to strengthen Turkmenistan's status as a key energy hub in Eurasia.
