Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Turkey Mekan Ishankuliyev met with the new Head of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) Abdulhadi Turus in the Turkish capital. The negotiations were devoted to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, science, sports and youth policy. This was reported by IIC.

The sides discussed in detail the results of the April visit of the Turkish delegation to Turkmenistan, noting the positive dynamics of cooperation. Special attention was paid to the preparation of joint events in Turkey dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.

Ambassador Ishankuliyev emphasised the importance of developing humanitarian ties between the two countries, which have common historical and cultural roots. In turn, the Head of YTB expressed his readiness to promote further strengthening of cooperation in the fields of education and youth.

The meeting confirmed the mutual interest of Turkmenistan and Turkey in expanding partnership in various areas, which is in line with the strategic interests of both countries.
