On 19 June, Turkmenistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Italy, Toyly Komekov, met with Pietro Sferra Carini, Deputy Diplomatic Adviser to the Prime Minister of Italy, in Rome. The talks took place at the Palazzo Chigi, the official residence of the Italian government. This was reported by the online publication Orient.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the first ‘Central Asia - Italy’ Summit and during the bilateral meeting of the Heads of State in March 2025. Particular attention was paid to preparations for the upcoming business forum, which will be an important platform for the development of economic cooperation.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan conveyed official invitations to key international events: the International Forum on Peace and Trust in Ashgabat (12 December 2025) and the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (5–8 August 2025).
