On 26 June, Turkmenistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov met with Georgian Drama Theatre named after Shota Rustaveli Director Giorgi Tevzadze. This was reported by the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

The interlocutors emphasised the importance of theatre as an important part of cultural heritage and expressed their readiness to cooperate. The Ambassador spoke about the events dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality. The parties agreed to hold joint cultural projects.

At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed confidence that creative exchanges between the theatres of the two countries would strengthen cultural ties. A tour of the theatre was also held, during which the director presented the history and projects of the institution.
