On the eve of the National Holidays - Constitution Day and the State Flag of Turkmenistan - the Turkmen creative delegation paid a visit to the Gulistan Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is reported by the IIC.

The trip was timed to honour the memory of great poets - Magtymguly Pyragy and his father Dovletmammad Azadi.

The key point of the visit was a pilgrimage to the village of Aktokai, where the burial places of the outstanding poets are located. The programme of the visit also included a visit to the city of Gorgan, which was another manifestation of mutual respect and historically strong cultural ties between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Iran.
